Khamis Essa is Professor of Digital Manufacturing and the Director of the Advanced Manufacturing Group at the School of Engineering, the University of Birmingham. His research is focused on advanced manufacturing technologies for instance metal and ceramic Additive Manufacturing (AM), Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIPing) and Incremental Sheet Forming (ISF). He has been developing novel manufacturing routes and applications for aerospace, defence, automotive and biomedical industries. The scientific emphasis of his research is on material-process interaction. He has been also developing holistic modelling techniaquesfor comprehensive understanding of process and material behaviours. His research portfolio has a research income in excess of £14M. His research has been supporting major companies across the world including Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems, Safran, Ford, European Space Agency and Caterpillar. He has been also supporting Small to Medium enterprises through major ERDF funding programmes such as CASIM2 and SmartFub.Prof Essa has over 140 journal and conference publications in addition to three patents and two book chapters. Prof Essa holds two Fellowships; one from the Higher Education Academy and the other from the Institute of Mechanical Engineers. He also sets on the editorial board of three international journals.

Dr. Obeid Obeid has been a lecturer (Associate Professor) in Mechanical Engineering at the University of the West of Scotland since 2020. He holds a PhD certificate in Mechanical Engineering from Brunel University London and MSc certificate in Advanced Manufacturing Systems from Brunel University London. Dr. Obeid is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (CEng MIMechE) in the UK. He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) in the UK. His main PhD research interests are the mechanical behaviour of lined pipelines under critical problems. The research comprehensively covers the effect of residual stresses produced from welding and high speed dynamic impact on the lined pipe experimentally and numerically using FORTRAN and ABAQUS codes. In the meantime, Dr Obeid is working on developing finite element models using APDL and ANSYS codes for multi-material powders of selective laser melting in 3D additive manufacturing

Igor Litvinchev received his M.Sc. degree in Applied Mathematics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (Fizteh), Ph.D. in Systems Theory and Operations Research and Dr. Sci. (Habilitation) in Systems Modeling and Optimization from Computing Center, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow. He is currently a Research Professor at Nuevo Leon State University (UANL), Mexico. His research is focused on large-scale systems modeling, optimization, and control with interdisciplinary applications. Professor Litvinchev is an author of 4 books and an editor of 12 more books published by Kluwer, Springer, and Elsevier. He published 90+ research papers in leading international journals and served on Steering, Program and Organizing Committees for 80+ international conferences. He also served as a Guest Editor for 8 journal special issues and was a Reviewer for 60+ prestigious journals. His research was supported by more than 30 grants from NATO Scientific Affairs Division and European Community; ISF (USA) and RFBR (Russia); CNPq and FAPESP (Brasil); BRFBR (Belarus); CONACYT, PROMEP and PAICYT (Mexico). Professor Litvinchev is a member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and Mexican Academy of Sciences. He is a co-founder of Mexican Society of Operations Research and Mexican Logistics and Supply Chain Association.

Mostapha El Jai is an Arts & Crafts engineer from Ecole Nationale Supérieured ’Arts& Métiers-Meknès, Morocco (2007) and he is a doctor in Industrial engineering from FST-Fes; Morocco (2016). Prof. El Jai has an industrial expert and he is also a recognized consultant in Morocco in mechanical and structural engineering. Prof. El Jai’s works are dedicated to additive manufacturing (mechanical and materials science) and to the process modeling alike. He has a recognized publications’ record in mechanical engineering and data analytics with international indexed journals. Prof El Jai is currently Professor in ENSAM-Meknès(since 2010) and he is seconded to Euromed University of Fes since 2017; he is affiliated to Euromed Center of Research, and he is currently leading the bio-sourced 3D Concrete Printing and Aluminum Metal Matrix composites Projects in Euromed University

His commitment is to achieve a more efficient global healthcare system, ensuring that biotechnology research leads to real results for society. His startup aims to be a nexus between multiple scientific branches to obtain great health and technological results.

Professor Laila M. Montaser is a medical, science and research leader creating and delivering breakthrough technologies in regenerative medicine, Nano-medicine and tissue engineering. She leads the stem cell, regenerative medicine, Nanotechnology and tissue engineering Research Group at Faculty of Medicine, Menoufia University, Egypt. The team is focused on translating technology for healthcare, to bring science fiction to reality. She supervised 47 M. Sc. theses and 13 MD theses. She has 215 International publications in world journals and global conferences. Montaser has given more than 75 keynote presentations on four continents. She gained many Awards: - Nishan Al-Kamal of Perfect and Certificate of Excellence for the best pupil from Egyptian Feast of Science. - Medal of Merit for the ideal Doctor from Egyptian Medical Syndicate in 1986, 1998, and 2002. I am a Professor of Materials and Manufacturing and I have excellent technical and research experiences in Additive Manufacturing, freeform fabrication, medical prosthesis design and manufacturing, laser materials processing, CAD/CAM, Reverse Engineering and related subjects. I am the founder and current director - since 2003 - of the Laser and Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) Research Department at the central metallurgical research and development institute (CMRDI) in Egypt, which is the first specialized academic research department for 3D Printing and Digital Freeform Fabrication in Egypt and North Africa (www.rpcmrdi.org). During the last 10 years, I authored and co-authored more than 24 papers and supervised more than 16 M.Sc. and Ph. D. Thesis for engineering and medical students, most of them related to the design and implementation of innovative prosthesis and innovated engineering products using AM and Laser materials processing and digital manufacturing techniques.. In addition, I have good practical experience in operating and serving different additive manufacturing, laser cutting and CNC based machines and I went through several practical training programs in Japan, Germany and UK. I work as manufacturing consultant for several factories as well

I was born in Comacchio (Ferrara, Italy) on 13/08/1997. After a scientific education in high school, I embarked on a university course at the University of Ferrara. I completed the Industrial Engineering course in March 2022, with a thesis on the e,ect of the infill on the mechanical properties of FDM parts. Right from the start, the world of additive manufacturing caught my attention, especially the versatility of geometries and materials. I think all this is even more interesting and of greater applicability if accompanied by a part related to finite element simulations, to be able to compare and predict the behavior of the component. My Ph.D. work started from this thesis work. My Ph.D. project is about the development of components by means of FDM technology, with fiber-reinforced materials of natural origin. The main basic and applied scientific research activities are: Optimization of the 3D printing process using Continuous Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) technology to obtain long fiber-reinforced composites with Additive Manufacturing, Realization and optimization of the process for the production of filaments containing continuous fiber of natural origin to be used in the 3D printing process with CFRP technology, Metal replacement

Zsolt Asztalos is a Ph.D. student since 2021 in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Transilvania University of Brasov, Romania. In 2021, he got his MSc in Simulation and Testing in Mechanical Engineering, from the Transilvania University of Brasov, Romania. His thesis is focusing on the influence of printing parameters on the mechanical properties of printed parts. His research is based on an alternative method named Modern Dimensional Analysis. Parallel he was a production engineer at a tool production company for 3 years, and now he is head of the production at a sheet metal processing company. Therefore, he is also interested in 3D printed tooling, for example, molds and fixtures.

Lizhe Wang is currently pursuing his PhD degree in Engineering at School of Engineering, University of Liverpool University, UK. He received his master’s degree majoring in Mechanical Engineering at the University of New South Wales, Australia from 2013 to 2015. His current research focus mainly lies in solid mechanics covering diverse engineering structures or components. His research interests include shakedown theory-based direct method, mechanical characterization of composites, loading capacity and fatigue reliability of the materials or structures, etc. He has led and completed five industrial projects covering fatigue life evaluation, thermal analysis and optimization, and fluid field analysis. He has published three journal paper in Composite Structures, Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering and Materials. In addition, he has actively attended several mechanical engineering conferences, including IMECE sponsored by American Society of Mechanical Engineering.

Dr. Wenyou Zhang is currently a research fellow at the Mechanical, Manufacturing& Biomedical Engineering of Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. He has an interdisciplinary education and research experience in Mechanical Engineering (Additive Manufacturing) and Biomedical Engineering, including materials research, design, finite element modelling and optimization, manufacturing, and characterisations.He holds aPhD in Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Galway, Ireland and his doctoral training was funded by the Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship. Due to his contributions to the Additive Manufacturing field, he is currently an early career editor board member of three journals such as Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering: Additive Manufacturing Frontiers journal, an editorial board member of three SCI journals, and a guest editor of Materials, and Materials Science in Additive Manufacturing journal.
