Ioan Száva is retired professor since 2019. Between 2000 and 2019 was full professor in Mechanical Engineering Department from Transilvania University of Brasov, Romania. In 1993, he got his PhD in Internal Combustion Engines for Automotive Engineering, from the Transilvania University of Brasov, Romania. In 2001 became PhD leader, having eight finalized PhD thesis and one actual/active PhD student. He was active educational staff member along 45 years at the same Transilvania University of Brasov, starting from the assistant, lecturer, associate professor, as well as full professor. He performed lectures and applications in Strength of Materials, Mechanical Vibrations and Experimental Methods of the Solid Bodies. His research interest include: (a) stress-strain states of solid bodies subjected to loads applied in static-, quasi-dynamic and dynamic conditions; (b) classical experimental methods (strain gauges-, Moiré-fringes-, etc.), as well as modern ones (ESPI/Shearography, Video Image Correlation) involved in mechanical characteristics evaluation of steel, human tissues, wood-based, and composite materials; (c) fire resistance evaluation of the unprotected- and protected (with intumescent paint) steel structural elements, involving different experimental methods as well as of the Modern Dimensional Analysis; (d) Additive Manufacturing products’ stress-strain states- and stiffness optimization by means of the Modern Dimensional Analysis. He is author and co-author of more than 75 journal papers and 153 conference articles. He gave some invited and plenary lectures abroad. He currently activates as PhD leader at the same university, having also several international scientific co-operations based on the afore-mentioned topics.

Sorin Vlase is a retired professor of Mechanics since 2022. Between 1996 and 2022 was a full professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Transilvania University of Brasov, Romania. In 1989, he got his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, from the Transilvania University of Brasov, Romania. He became PhD leader, having more than ten finalized PhD thesis and one actual/active PhD student. He was active educational staff member along 45 years at the same Transilvania University of Brasov, starting as an assistant, lecturer, associate professor, as well as full professor. He performed lectures and applications in Mechanics, Finite Element Method, Computational Mechanics, Stability, Elasticity, and Numerical Methods. His research interest include (a) dynamic analysis; (b) Finite Element Method; (c) mechanics of composite materials; (d) Modal Analysis and Vibrations. He is author and co-author of more than 200 Web of Science journal papers and more than 20 courses and monographies. He gave some invited and plenary lectures abroad. He currently activates as a Ph.D. leader at the same university, having also several international scientific co-operations based on the aforementioned topics. He is a member of the Romanian Academy of Technical Sciences since 2012.

Khamis Essa is Professor of Digital Manufacturing and the Director of the Advanced Manufacturing Group at the School of Engineering, the University of Birmingham. His research is focused on advanced manufacturing technologies for instance metal and ceramic Additive Manufacturing (AM), Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIPing) and Incremental Sheet Forming (ISF). He has been developing novel manufacturing routes and applications for aerospace, defense, automotive and biomedical industries. The scientific emphasis of his research is on material-process interaction. He has been also developing holistic modelling techniaquesfor comprehensive understanding of process and material behaviours. His research portfolio has a research income in excess of £14M. His research has been supporting major companies across the world including Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems, Safran, Ford, European Space Agency and Caterpillar. He has been also supporting Small to Medium enterprises through major ERDF funding programs such as CASIM2 and SmartFub.Prof Essa has over 140 journal and conference publications in addition to three patents and two book chapters. Prof Essa holds twoFellowships; one from the Higher Education Academy and the other from the Institute of Mechanical Engineers. He also sets on the editorial board of three international journals.

Anderson SH Chu (HK) serves as a Principal Investigator (PI) at Columbia University. He got approved several grants and leads funded projects as the PI at Columbia University, centering on the physio-chemical-mechanical design, scaling-up production, functional design and practical applications of sustainable materials and resilient structures. Chu earned his Ph.D. degree in Structural Engineering from The University of Hong Kong (HK), and received training from the University of Cambridge (UK) and Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) before joining Columbia University. According to Stanford University, he has been ranked into world’s top 2% scientists (world’s top 0.2% in Civil Engineering in 2022) since 2021. With a H-index of 28 and Scopus citation of 2000 (as of 2023), his original research findings have been disseminated in renowned journals. Chu’s research interests in cement and concrete science revolve around: low carbon materials, resilient structures and functional design. He focuses on recovering low carbon cement from oceanic and waste resources, using it for carbon capture, utilization and storage, and ultimately data-driven design of functional composite materials. Based on physio-chemical-mechanical approaches, he engages in the development of bio-inspired concrete and infilled cementitious composites, in the realm of fiber reinforced concrete clusters, and incorporating functions such as microbial self-healing and underwater 3D printability. He employs an interdisciplinary combination of experimental and analytical techniques to facilitate interaction and knowledge transfer between academia and industry, with an eye on both basic and applied research. He has been involved in several practical projects and holds intellectual property rights for core technologies, all of which align with specific United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Prof. WANG Qingyuan is a full Professor of Sichuan University since 2001. He is currently the president of Chengdu University (Top 53 in the Chinese mainland by Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024). He received his PhD in 1998 from Ecole Centrale Paris (University Paris-Saclay), France, followed by postdoctoral experience from 1999 to 2003 in Faculty of Engineering of Purdue University, and JSPS fellow at Kagoshima University, Japan. His research activity is focused on Materials, Mechanics and Structures, Super Long Life Durability, 3D Printing and Low carbon technologies. He has advised more than 20 Postdoc, 40PhD (3 from Europe) and 40 Master students. His group is continuing research sponsored by NSFC, MOST, and industrial Engineering projects. Prof. Wang has published over 300 papers in SCI index journals, including Nature, Nature Commu, AM, AFM, Prog Mater Sci, Adv Science, IJ Fatigue, etc. He was named on the list of World’s Top 2% Scientists (both Career-Long and Single-Year Impact List), and was Chinese Most Cited Researchers (Elsevier, General Eng. or Mechanics) from 2014 to 2023.

Dr. Hany Hassanin holds a position as a reader and the engineering research and REF Lead, having earned his PhD in mechanical engineering from the University of Birmingham in 2011. Post-PhD, Dr. Hassanin served as a research fellow at the University of Birmingham. He subsequently took on roles as a lecturer at the School of Engineering at Kingston University and later as a senior lecturer at the University of Liverpool. Dr. Hassanin's research has been dedicated to design and advanced manufacturing, particularly in aerospace, biomedical engineering, and water treatment. His expertise encompasses a range of cutting-edge technologies, including additive manufacturing, powder processing, laser processing, and nanotechnology, applied to various materials such as ceramics, metals, composites, and elastomers.

Abdollah Saboori is an Associate Professor of Advanced Materials Processing at the Department of Management and Production Engineering of the Politecnico di Torino. His research deals with the correlation between the properties of metallic materials and additive manufacturing processes. In recent years, his scientific activity has focused on alloys and composites produced by metal additive manufacturing processes. Abdollah Saboori was a visiting PhD student at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom, and he received a PhD with honours in Materials Science and Technology at the Politecnico di Torino with a thesis on Metal matrix nanocomposites. He is a co-author of more than 100 scientific papers published in scientific journals and conference proceedings

Wael Zaki is Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi, UAE. He received his MSc and PhD degrees in solid mechanics from Ecole Polytechnique in 2003 and 2006, respectively, before completing a habilitation degree (HDR) at Pierre & Marie Curie University in 2014. Prior to joining Khalifa University, professor Zaki was a postdoctoral fellow and adjunct faculty at ENSTA-ParisTech (2006-2007) and an R&D Engineering in Luxembourg (2007-2010). His research focuses on modeling, simulation and experimental characterization of inelastic materials and structures, with emphasis on shape memory alloys. His recent work deals with the development, characterization and additive manufacturing of architected shape memory alloys and their composites. Professor Zaki is the recipient of Khalifa University’s Excellence in Research award and is recognized on Stanford’s list of top 2% scientists in the world for the years 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Dr. Chien-Ho Ko currently serves as a Research Professor in the Department of Civil, Environmental & Architectural Engineering and a Director at the Craig and Diane Martin National Center for Construction Safety at the University of Kansas (KU). Prior to KU, he was a full Professor of Civil Engineering in Taiwan, a visiting scholar at MIT, and a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Ko received his Ph.D. in Construction Management and is pursuing a second Ph.D. in Architectural Design at Clemson University, SC. A registered Professional Engineer of Fire Protection, he has previously served as a project manager, managing design-build projects. Prof. Ko has been conferred numerous academic awards, including best paper, outstanding professor, research, and teaching awards. He has published over 40 refereed journal papers, 70 conference papers, and is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Engineering, Project, and Production Management. He also has participated as Principal Investigator in over 40 research projects. Additionally, he is an inventor with more than 30 patents. Dr. Ko has served as president of several institutes, including the Taiwan Lean Construction Institute, the Taiwan Industrial Robot Association, and the Association of Engineering, Project, and Production Management. He is a President-Elect in the ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers) Kansas Section.

Igor Litvinchev received his M.Sc. degree in Applied Mathematics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (Fizteh), Ph.D. in Systems Theory and Operations Research and Dr. Sci. (Habilitation) in Systems Modeling and Optimization from Computing Center, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow. He is currently a Research Professor at Nuevo Leon State University (UANL), Mexico. His research is focused on large-scale systems modeling, optimization, and control with interdisciplinary applications. Professor Litvinchev is an author of 4 books and an editor of 12 more books published by Kluwer, Springer, and Elsevier. He published 90+ research papers in leading international journals and served on Steering, Program and Organizing Committees for 80+ international conferences. He also served as a Guest Editor for 8 journal special issues and was a Reviewer for 60+ prestigious journals. His research was supported by more than 30 grants from NATO Scientific Affairs Division and European Community; ISF (USA) and RFBR (Russia); CNPq and FAPESP (Brasil); BRFBR (Belarus); CONACYT, PROMEP and PAICYT (Mexico). Professor Litvinchev is a member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and Mexican Academy of Sciences. He is a co-founder of Mexican Society of Operations Research and Mexican Logistics and Supply Chain Association.

Professor Rachid Masrour, from Morocco, actually, is research professor in the Faculty of Sciences Dhar El Mahraz at Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah the University, Fez, Morocco. Dr. Rachid Masrour completed his Ph.D. in March 2006 at same University. His research interests lie in the area of Condensed Matter Physics, Material Sciences, Material for energy, Magnetism. He has the Best Oral Presentation Award for MCGPD-2021, by Indian Association for Crystal Growth & Indian Science and Technology Association International Organization for Crystal Growth, 5-8, July 2021. Outstanding Scientist Award (VDGOOD PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION, 15-02-2020, India). It was among the most critical in 2020 by Elsevier.

Professor Laila M. Montaser is a medical, science and research leader creating and delivering breakthrough technologies in regenerative medicine, Nano-medicine and tissue engineering. She leads the stem cell, regenerative medicine, Nanotechnology and tissue engineering Research Group at Faculty of Medicine, Menoufia University, Egypt. The team is focused on translating technology for healthcare, to bring science fiction to reality. She supervised 47 M. Sc. theses and 13 MD theses.
